Consultancy

I have extensive experience within schools, local authorities, residential services, family homes and other organisations that support vulnerable children and adults. This includes those with behavioural and emotional needs, learning disabilities, cases of abuse / neglect, challenging behaviours, reunification, adoption and foster care. I conduct direct work with service users, families and staff. I offer mediation to organisations to assist employee relations and team building. This can be beneficial to newly formed teams as a one off session. I also provide ongoing mediation with staff teams as part of conflict resolutions.

Offering psychological support to organisations can include:

  • Assessing and screening service users for additional needs such as Autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, mental health conditions, attachment issues
  • Systemic and behavioural interventions to staff and organisations (based on positive behaviour support and person centered perspectives)
  • Staff and / or parent training and workshops
  • Multidisciplinary team management, co-ordination, supervision and support
  • Team building
  • Conflict resolution
  • Group work with service users such as anger management, social skills, preparing for transitions
  • De-briefings following events (such as incidents, restructure, significant changes in work or living environment, dismissal of colleagues)
  • Therapeutic support (to service users and staff)

This is not an exhaustive list and I am more than happy to meet with you to discuss your needs and work together to find a way to address them.

Through psychological support, I can help maintain wellbeing thus improving overall performance and moral. I audit and evaluate my work in line with organisational aims such as employee sickness, injuries and statutory requirements.

Please get in touch to discuss the next steps.
